emo is not a synonym for ...emotional?

not anymore.
people treat the word "emo" as a label for kids who wear black, walk around with their hoods up and wear tight skinny jeans. it doesn't technically mean you're angry at the world, or you're depressed.
"emo," my dear, is overrated.
plus, if your a teenager and are still labeling people, it's time for you to act your age anyway. it's not middle school anymore kiddies.
[sorry, had to vent. almost like what john mayer did with the word douchebag in his blog.]

what i am looking forward to in 2008:
the new panic! record: i've been waiting since november '06 for this record. it will make or break my year basically. from what i've heard, it's a lot different from a fever you can't sweat out, but it's a good sort of different. i'm looking forward to this more than you could ever imagine.

the possible new fall out boy/gym class heroes/the academy is... records: there has been rumors about all of them, but none have been confirmed yet. wentz has hinted at them working hard to finish another record faster than usual. sisky has hinted at it as well on their friends or enemies blog. and i know patrick stump was producing the new gch record during the young wild things tour, so we can all hope for a new record from them soon.

the first the cab record: "think maroon five and nsync had a baby that kind of sounded like fall out boy" says pete wentz, "yes this is a retarded combination." it may be. but i am also really looking forward to this as well. their demos sound a lot like fall out boy, and if they are, i know i'll love them. yay for new decaydance/fbr bands! [not phantom planet...i haven't really listened to them so i don't know if i truly like them yet].

a new album from +44: theres no official date, but they canceled a european tour to start writing a new album back after the honda civic tour, so i'd imagine that should be out sometime in 2008. if its anything like when your heart stops beating, i'll love it.

the 2008 honda civic tour: hey, panic!'s headlining. what could possibly be better than that?! well...it could be better if they get good openers, unlike motion city soundtrack. not that their bad, i just like it when my favorite bands tour together. and i don't really know motion city soundtrack, so...

any new decaydance/fbr artists: thats always something to look forward to! even if wentz signs tyga. i wouldn't mind though, that would be a change of pace. from what i saw on young wild things, he isn't too bad. he's just a rapper.

new clandestine merch: if they'd start releasing some on the webstore and not just in the landmark store in chicago. cause last time i checked, not all clandestine supporters are in chicago.

wicked coming to town: i've never seen it, but love the music. i may not go though, it depends on how much the school charges to get tickets. i hope they get the cheap seats rather than the 50 buck ones.

NEW YORK CITY! with bel canto: my dad isn't going because my cousins wedding is the same day we leave [!@#!@$@!], but it will still be an amazing time with some of my friends. times square, the statue of liberty, all the sights to see...i'll be in heaven basically. i couldn't be more excited if i tried. plus, we're seeing the little mermaid ON BROADWAY! that basically pwns itself.

all the dvds fall out boy has promised: at least one honda civic tour dvd, maybe another, or so they say. i'm just excited to get a dvd of a show i've been to. hey, maybe they'll put my show on the dvd! (i know, i know. never going to happen. but one can dream...)

paramore and my chemical romance touring the US: since i missed them the first time....PLEASE?!

that's about it, or that's all i can think of off the top of my head.
maybe i'll add more when it's not 12:10 AM and i don't have to be up at 7:30.
