jack's mannequin was amazing. they played all my favorites,
including an old something corporate song. they also played
three news songs from their upcoming album.
i wanted to shoot myself during the opening act. they were
so fucking boring. they played what sounded like pop country shit.
the crowd wasn't bad, either. i was right up front and to the
right, just like i was last time i saw them with panic and
plain white t's. andrew mcmahon even said "we were here a
little over a year ago with a band called panic at the disco.
they had a pool party and we weren't invited, so we want
you to know that if we have one, every last one of you mother
fuckers are invited." that pretty much made my night.
setlist: holiday from real, the mixed tape, bruised, la la lie, i'm ready, kill the messenger, dark blue, mfeo, rescued, you and the moon + the three new ones.
saturday i woke up and got my tetanus shot and a physical so
i can get my work papers. it wasn't as bad as i thought, but i
have to go back march 15th to get meningitis. kellie said she'll be
home again for that. good thing.
got up early on sunday for church since kellie was home. she
auditioned for the main service choir after the 9:30 service
and i sat in to watch. and of course she had to tell bob, the music
director at victory, that i sing as well. so they made me sing the
chorus to how great is our god. apparently i did well because they
want me to sing alto in the teen service band! i want to do it, but i'm
not sure if i am yet. i've never had to hold my own part by myself
against another person. i'm going to one of the rehearsals to sit in and
see if it's something i can possibly pick up on.
today, monday, is a snow day! i guess it was a last minute thing, due to
high winds. it isn't as bad now, but hey. i'll take any free day off from school!
